Art conveys what the lens cannot

This work tells the story of a young Palestinian from Gaza who uses puppetry (marionettes) as a human-centered approach to bring joy and comfort to children amid war, fear, and the rupture of normal life. While the camera captures destruction and pain, art conveys what the lens cannot: a glimpse of hope, a child’s smile, and the right to childhood and psychosocial support

This work is part of the SWITCH Project, a digital initiative that aims to transform human rights and democratic principles into tangible practices in the lives of residents of the Gaza Strip. It is implemented in partnership with Pal-Think for Strategic Studies and Ajyal for Creativity and Development.
