What Happened to the Health Sector in Gaza?!

The health sector in the Gaza Strip has experienced an unprecedented deterioration due to the repeated targeting of health infrastructure and the severe shortage of medical supplies and fuel, in addition to the overwhelming pressure caused by the large numbers of wounded individuals, patients, and internally displaced people. Many hospitals and health centers have been destroyed or forced to cease operations, significantly reducing the capacity of the healthcare system. Medical staff are also working under extremely difficult conditions amid shortages of essential medicines and medical supplies, power outages, and damage to water and sanitation networks, all of which threaten the lives of thousands of patients and undermine the right to access basic healthcare.

This work comes within the activities of the Internal Displacement Observatory implemented by Ajyal Association for Creativity and Development, with support from (EED), as part of efforts to monitor violations affecting internally displaced persons, advocate for their rights, strengthen their protection, and preserve their human dignity.
