A visual human story featuring Naheel, a resilient woman and a living example of Gaza’s fighting spirit. She did not break despite losing her shop, fabrics, colors, and having her dreams burned by the war — her determination remained intact.
Although displaced, with her machines and home severely damaged, she continued running a sewing project that provides her family’s only source of income. Amid the war, everything may be destroyed… except the will to persevere. Today, she starts anew with needle and thread, making the most of minimal resources by recycling old clothes.
This work is part of the SWITCH Project, a digital initiative that aims to transform human rights and democratic principles into tangible practices in the lives of residents of the Gaza Strip. It is implemented in partnership with Pal-Think for Strategic Studies and Ajyal for Creativity and Development.
