A photo story portraying how Palestinian artists face death with colors

A photo story portraying how Palestinian artists face death with colors, continuing to create art amid war and destruction — documenting Gaza’s daily life through their paintings.

They engage the local community — children, women, and young artists — transforming shattered walls into platforms that narrate Gaza’s story.

Despite losing their studios and art spaces such as Shababeek Studio and Al-Moltaqa, they remain a voice preserving Palestinian identity during the genocide, standing for the right to expression and cultural participation, even as their basic rights are repeatedly violated.

This work is part of the SWITCH Project, a digital initiative that aims to transform human rights and democratic principles into tangible practices in the lives of residents of the Gaza Strip. It is implemented in partnership with Pal-Think for Strategic Studies and Ajyal for Creativity and Development.
