A Child’s Pain, A Family’s Tears — A Story from Gaza

In the heart of Gaza, a little girl lost her eye under continuous bombardment — yet her spirit remains unbroken.

She tries to smile through the pain and hold on to the threads of hope amid the ruins.

Her injury makes it difficult for her to live a normal life, to integrate into society, and to enjoy even the simplest rights of childhood.

Still, her smile shines as a message of hope — a reminder that childhood in Gaza refuses to be defeated.

This work is part of the SWITCH Project, a digital initiative that aims to transform human rights and democratic principles into tangible practices in the lives of residents of the Gaza Strip. It is implemented in partnership with Pal-Think for Strategic Studies and the Ajyal for Creativity and Development.
