Today, Gaza relies heavily on old and costly power generators to provide a minimum level of electricity, especially after the extensive damage to the electricity infrastructure. With ongoing displacement and growing humanitarian needs, rebuilding the electricity sector has become essential to ensuring a dignified and safe life for residents.
This video highlights the current reality of electricity in Gaza, the challenges facing the reconstruction process, and the potential opportunities to build a more sustainable energy system that can meet people’s needs and support community recovery.
